Golf Day

  

Armagh Cricket Club held a successful 150th Anniversary Golf Classic on Friday 12th May at Loughgall Country Park, an event generously sponsored by Tyrone Crystal. On what was a fine spring afternoon; more than 50 golfers tried their luck against the testing but picturesque course. Upon completion and return to the Pavilion on the Mall the players enjoyed a lavish supper provided by Bridgestone Catering before prizes were distributed by Master of Ceremonies Arnold Courtney. Overall competition winner with a fine score of 37 was Armagh Golf Club Captain E. Hamilton, who was also a member of the winning team led by Kenny Gordon. Amongst the other prizes, the award for the longest drive went to Kenny Edgar while the best front nine was played by Nigel McMahon.
