Sponsored Walk

The walk will take place on Tuesday 17th March namely St.Patricks Day. Everyone is asked

to be at the club at 12.45pm for a 1.00pm start. Remember to bring your money with you

that you have raised.

  

Subscriptions Due

Members subscriptions are due by the end of February. If you wish to play this season

you must pay your subs by the end of this month or they will increase by a sum of £10 if

payed after. Just put the money in an envelope and place it in the subscription box behind

the bar or give it to any committee member. 

  

2009 Anniversary Events

Over the past few months the clubs committee helped by some ex-players, friends

of the club and past officials have been working hard organizing events to take place

during the 150th Anniversary of the club. To view all the events and dates, please have

a look at them from the 150th Anniversary link from the navigation bar above. Try to keep

these dates free and try to attend these events as all members are asked to contribute as

much as they can in this upcoming year. More information will appear closer to the time so

keep an eye out for it.

  

Sponsored Walk

Armagh Cricket Club will be holding a sponsored walk on Tuesday 17th March.

All members are asked to raise money and to participate in this first fundrasier

of the year. The money raised will be split between the Armagh Cricket Club

150th Anniversary Fund and The Wooden Spoon Charity. If you do not already

have the sponsored sheet or you have lost it, please download it and print it off from here!

  

Andrew Selected For Irish Trials

11 year old Andrew Hoey has been selected to attend trials with the Ireland U13's

side. He will attend various training camps in North County CC in Dublin before the

final squad of players in chosen. All at Armagh CC would like to wish Andrew the

best for the trials. 

  

Indoor Nets

The date and times for indoor nets has been finalized. Under 15 practice will

start this Wednesday 21st January from 6:00pm. The week after, namely

Wednesday 28th January, junior practice will start at 6:00 to 7:45pm and then

senior practice will begin and continue to 9:30pm. Please make an effort to attend

practice.

  

 

Members Night

After the great success of the last members night held in the clubrooms,

there is another one to be held this Saturday 31st January. Live music and

there will be a light supper provided. As a bonus there will be greatly reduced

prices on all drinks. Please make an effort to come along and support the club.

The league fixtures for the four senior teams and the mid-week team too

for the forth coming season have been published on the site. They can be

Lisanally Rangers Select 7-2 Armagh Cricket Club

ACC lost the annual charity match 7-2 to a strong Lisanally side although

the scoreline greatly flattered the football side as the Cricketers had plenty

of good chances too. Ally Dodds and John Gray scored the goals for the club,

whose star players were Michael Villiers, David Acheson and Jack Ellis.

  

Boys Make NCU u13 Squad

Congratulations to Andrew Hoey and Samuel Wilson on making the NCU

u13 squad. Throughout the winter they will attend nets. Samuel was also

selected for the NICA u12s development squad. The club would like to

wish the boys all the best.

  

10,000 Not Out

This month saw the site make over 10,000 views in its first year. Thanks

for all the support and we hope in continues.

Big Meeting Planned

As you may be aware City of Armagh Cricket Club celebrates its 150th Anniversary

in 2009 we hope this year of celebration will be fitting of the oldest sports club in the

City.For the club to be able to host and organise a number of events to suitably mark

such a landmark in the history of the club  we are calling on the help and support of

prominent past and present members to contribute in any way they can. To help with

this and to gauge interest the committee have convened a Special Meeting to be held

on Thursday 20th November in the Pavilion at 8pm. See you there!

  

Challenge Cup Draw

We have been drawn away to Muckamore in the first round with the winners hosting

Lisburn in the next round. A date is yet to be set for the matches.

  

Order Your Hoodie Now

The design has been chosen and a price has been defined.The Hoodie

is available for £30 or the hoody with the shorts is £40. If you want to make

an order, you will need to let Gareth McCarter know your size for items required

and more importantly give him the money. The price has been well reduced from

what was reported, this is because the personalised embroidery has been removed.

All orders must be placed by Friday 14th November. The designs can be found via

the shop link to the left.
