Armagh extend winning run

A sluggish Armagh performance was still enough for the city side to overcome local rivals Portadown in a re-arranged 25over encounter on the Mall on Tuesday night. The hard work put in during a run of three matches in four days had clearly caught up with the Armagh team as their fielding and bowling was not to its usual high standard throughout. On what started as a cloudy and drizzly evening, Armagh captain Charu Kulkarni won another toss and had no doubt in inviting Portadown to bat first. Full report

  

Armagh topple Larne to hit the top

Armagh 1st XI joined Larne at the top of the Ulster Bank Division 1 Section 2 table after a convincing five wicket victory over the Sandy Bay side in a challenging league encounter. With Royal School rugby tourists Harry Doyle and Matthew Steenson unavailable, Lloyd Hamilton and Reg Stinson were their replacements from the side who defeated Drumaness on the Mall the Sunday previous. Armagh overwhelm Templepatrick as Russell and Kulkarni run riot

Armagh moved into the top spot in the Ulster Bank Division 1 Section 2 standings after a comprehensive defeat of Templepatrick on Sunday at a warm and sunny Mall. Armagh were in confident mood going into the game after their success at Larne, making one change with the unavailable Lloyd Hamilton being replaced by promising young Under-15 XI spinner Duncan Steed. Golf Day Successful

Armagh Cricket Club held a successful 150th Anniversary Golf Classic on Friday 12th May at Loughgall Country Park, an event generously sponsored by Tyrone Crystal. On what was a fine spring afternoon; more than 50 golfers tried their luck against the testing but picturesque course. More
